Can my business stay open during a commercial remodel?
We can plan our work around your schedule and/or contain our work to the affected area while you continue business as usual. While rare we may ask the building be unoccupied in order to safely but quickly complete a portion of the project.
What should I do if my building is damaged by water, fire, or a storm?
Contact your insurance company first. Once your insurance company gives you the go ahead to get a quote on the damage they have assessed, RAK Construction can work directly with the insurance company to provide pricing for the claim. In an emergency situation RAK Construction can secure the area for safety and take steps to prevent further damage. You should also take photos of affected areas as much as is safe to give to your insurance provider.
How long does commercial damage restoration take?
Minor water damage can often be repaired in three to five days, but major fire and storm damage can take weeks to repair safely. We always work as efficiently as possible.
Can my business stay open during damage restoration?
If the damage is localized and doesn’t pose a threat to health or safety, you may be able to continue some business operations. But for more extensive restorations, we usually recommend closing temporarily so we can work efficiently and safely.
Does insurance cover damage restoration?
Your commercial property insurance policy likely covers damage from incidents like burst pipes, fires, and storms. Your insurance company should present requirements of the information and evidence it needs for your claim, if you provide this to RAK Construction prior to your project beginning we can help you properly document the damages to submit to them
Does RAK perform emergency/off hour services?
Yes, we are available to perform commercial emergency work. From a car crashing into a building that needs to be secured to an overhead door not closing properly we are prepared to help when you are in need.
